At Kip McGrath, we steadfastly believe that every child deserves the right to read, write and calculate well enough to choose their future. Using great programs, individually customised learning programs, motivated and skilled teachers; we are making a tremendous difference in the world today.

Kip McGrath was founded in Maitland, NSW Australia in 1976 by Kip and Dugnea McGrath with the sole purpose of building a brighter future for children who were struggling with their education.

Their ideology was simply that, “every child can learn, they just need to be taught properly.”

At Kip McGrath Education Centres, we aim to complement the work being done in schools so that students can ﬁnd success there too. There is a deﬁnite need and our centres help to fulﬁl that need.

The first tuition centre was in the family garage, where Kip and Dugnea would tutor local children who needed help with their literacy and numeracy. Kip developed a remediation learning system, based on assessing the child to identify the gaps in their learning and using this to develop a personalised program to meet the child’s learning needs.

From humble beginnings, this personalised learning approach is now implemented across Kip McGrath education centres worldwide.

Today, Kip McGrath has grown into a global family of passionate, qualified teachers across more than 500 tutoring centres. Guided by Kip’s core belief — that a child who needs help needs a teacher to motivate and guide them.

Decades on, Kip McGrath continues to develop as the demand to improve English and Maths skill grows and children become more empowered to change their life story through education.

Kip McGrath now delivers over a million lessons every year, building a brighter future for children all over the world.
